You Make Me Smile

Hi everyone!

Ilina here! I am back today with another card using the You stamp set! This time I did some no line watercoloring and kept my card pretty simple.

To make the card I started by stamping the image using No Line Coloring ink pad onto cold press watercolor paper (I used Winsor and Newton, but you can use any cold press watercolor paper of your choice). Next using my watercolor paints (I used Daniel Smith) I colored the image. I started by applying color where I want the darkest color to be and then using clean wet/moist brush spread it to cover each area. Also I colored areas not touching each other first, then when the paint was dry I colored the areas in between.

Once done, I trimmed the panel to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and stamped the sentiment using Black ink. To finish it off I adhered to a light blue top folding note card to match the color of the flowers!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Hope you have an amazing day!

I love whoever came up with no line coloring ink for those of us who want to pretend we can really watercolor when we really don’t know what we’re doing. Lol. Your card is quite lovely.
