Bashful Blue Butterfly

Hey all! Katie here on this Friday. It has been sunny here all week, unfortunately it is going to rain where I live this weekend, but… I was still inspired to make something happy and sunny!

Here is my card today and isn’t it pretty? I love the blue butterfly in contrast tot he Pink Rose. Here is what I did.

I used some blue and a pale green cardstock with Plaid Cover Panel B and Plaid Cover Panel A. I mounted them on a white base. Next, I stamped out the big open Rose from the Roses Stamp set and cut it with the Coordinating Roses Die set. I colored it with RV10, RV17, R85, V02, V12, YG03, G40, G21. Next, I stamped the butterfly from Butterfly Sketches Stamps, cut with the coordinating Butterfly Sketches Die set and colored with Copics B000, B01, B24, B26, C7, C5, C3. I mounted the rose on the card, then added the butterfly. I used a bit of green cardstock and stamped the sentiment. I finished it off using some glue dots and some pink Crystal Gems.

I hope you like it, I think it is lovely and it makes me happy to look at.
