Hello there!
I’ve got a trio of playful pigs for you today and they are paired with a mix of Pink & Main’s wonderful pattern papers! There’s not too much coloring on these designs (except for the pigs!) but I tried to focus instead on combining die cuts and CAS layouts! The NEW “Pig Time” Stamp and Die Sets are so much fun that I couldn’t stop at just one card!
For the first card I used a mini plaid from the “Pastel Dreams” Paper Pack and trimmed it to 3.75″ x 5″. I die cut a window using one of the “Layered Oval Dies” in the bottom right corner. Using a smaller oval die, I cut another window in a coordinating blue card stock and attached it to the back of the plaid paper. This panel was glued onto the front of a top-folding A2 card base. The pig was stamped, colored and die cut. I heat embossed the sentiment, trimmed it down to fit the width of the card front and attached it with foam tape. The pig was popped into place with foam squares and some iridescent sequins finished up the card.
The second card is based on the pattern paper from the “Hooray” palette! I love the colors in this pack – they are the perfect blend of plums, lavender, olive, muted turquoise and soft yellow! It’s such a festive blend! This card measures 4.5″ square and the base is an ink blend of “Seedless Preserves” and “Dusty Concord” Distress Oxides. I added a 4″ white card stock panel on top and placed a “Stitched Circle” into the center. Using that same die, I cut additional pattern papers to create my grass, glued them together and stamped the “Smile” sentiment from the “Spotlight Sayings” Stamp Set using the MISTI. I die cut a slightly smaller stitched circle from a turquoise card stock, glued that in place and added the grass section on top. I colored this happy purple pig to match the tones in the pattern paper, die cut and attached him with foam tape! I added large opal sequins topped with “Hooray” Glitter Enamel Dots as my embellishments!
My final card uses pretty floral and polka dot papers from the “All Occasion Florals” Pack! I die cut the “Double Stitched Heart” at the top of a 3.75″ x 5″ white card stock panel and added a strip of the floral paper to the bottom. I also die cut the polka dot paper using the “Blessings Slim Line Die”, which gave me a scalloped trim piece. I added this trim and lime green baker’s twine to the front panel. l ink-blended a lime green area at the top of an A2 card base and glued the heart panel into place on top. The pigs were stamped, colored and die cut. I stamped the sentiment into the heart opening using my MISTI and the pigs were attached with foam squares.
