Mixed media card

Hi,

I love challenges and when I saw the newest stamp set called Hot Air Balloons I said to myself – it is time to make really cool mixed media card. So I would like to show you that even with stamps which are mainly for basic card making use, you can really experiment, you can make layouts, mixed media cards and other craft (3D crafts, tags, ATCs etc.)

For my card I used papers from Poland – UHK Gallery brand. They are really great, very good quality and because I am from Europe it is for me easy to shop by our neighbours 🙂

I sew with jeans thread frame around card, than I used stencil to apply pasta, unfortunately I did it in the middle so you can see only small part of pasta relief (usually I start my card and apply layers and than think what to do next, it is always experiment). Than I cut out tags from patterned papers and I distressed borders, I made hole with crop-a-dole and added string. I stamped one balloon with Archival ink on one tag and I stamped more balloons at background. On small rectangle paper I stamped sentiment and distressed edges. I glued everything on card panel and added some metal embellishments. Finally I made splashes with black and white acrylic colour. And here it is quite easy and interesting card.

Have a nice day

Kate
