Hey all. Katie here today with an elegant card that can be used for multiple occasions. I have a coworker getting married in a few weeks and I might just mail it to him and his soon to be wife, but I think you could use this for a birthday, graduation, new job, really any type of celebration.
I made this by taking a piece of watercolor paper. First, I added some yellow distress inks with my Mini Ergonomic Brushes. Then, I added some red/pink splashes using some Lindy’s Magical powders and water. I set it aside to dry and sped it up a bit with my heat gun. When it was dry, I ran it through my die cutting machine with the Rose Garden Embossing Folder. Next, I die cut a white oval using the Layered Oval Dies and stamped the sentiment with Versafine black ink. The sentiment and the florals are from the Missing You stamp set. Next, I stamped the images on more watercolor paper using Versamark, I heat embossed them with gold embossing powder. Next, I used my zigs and waterbrush to color them. Once they were dry, I used the Missing You Dies to cut them out. At this point, I simply put all the layers together. The yellow/pink layer on the white base. Next, I mounted the oval using foam tape. On top of that, I added the flowers and leaves. Lastly, I added the gold sparkle gems which are just stunning.
I hope you like it! It was hard to capture the best picture of the bloom because of the embossing powder, but I think it looks pretty great.
Thank you for visiting! I hope you will check out the shop, FB and IG for more inspiration.
