Hello, hello Pink and Main friends. I’m happy to be bringing you a flower card this week. I adore colouring flowers.
Today’s main image comes from the Tall Flowers stamp set, which I’ve stamped and heat embossed in white onto watercolour card. I then covered the left hand side of the panel with a light wash of blue green paint, very watered down. I dabbed any colour out of the flowers, spattered some more paint, and then left it to dry.
I then painted the flowers and leaves. To do this, I wet each petal or leaf with clean water and then dropped paint into one corner and let it spread (helped a little by me sometimes!).
Once everything was dry, I spattered some more, and then added just a little pencil to the deeper darker areas.
I love the contrast of the bold flowers and the subtle sentiment which comes from the same Tall Flowers stamp.
I cut the panel just smaller than my card using the Layered Rectangle A2 dies, and mounted it onto a rust coloured background. The sweet glitter enamel dots are from the Falling For You set.
I hope you have enjoyed this card. I’ll be back soon with another very different card indeed!
Until next time, may your days be full of flowers.
Blessings,
