Pineapple Fabulous!

Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here! I’ve been playing with pineapples!

This card features the fun pineapples from the Let’s Flamingle stamp set. There are so many fun images here, and even though the flamingos are the main feature, they are not the only hero of the set.

For today’s card, I stamped the larger of the two pineapples in the stamp set several times, and coloured each pineapple with a different combination of Copic markers. The fun thing about this type of image that Pink and Main does, with the extra swirls and squiggles, is that it gives you a couple of different colouring options for different looks. You could use the extra lines (zigzags in the case of the pineapples) to change colours, or you can do as I’ve done today and ignore them and blend your colours. Both look fabulous. Once coloured, I cut the pineapples with the matching dies.

I have made some hills using the Scallop Wave dies, and a lovely green dotted paper from the Summer Splash paper pad. I added a strip of white paper cut with the same die so that the hills would stand out against each other. Then it was simply a matter of tucking the pineapples into a pattern that I found pleasing, and adding a truckload of dimension. Every layer is higher than the last. The sentiment comes from the same Let’s Flamingle stamp set, and I’ve cut a fishtail end to the banner by hand.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this fun card as much as I enjoyed making it. I almost never use orange in my cards, so this was quite an adventure!

Until next time, may your days be sunny and fun.

Blessings,

Donna
