Hello, hello! I hope you’re all staying safe and well! I’ve been loving the Ergonomic Blending Brushes from Pink & Main! They’ve just sold out, but they’ll be back soon and trust me – you don’t want to miss out! Let me show you what I made!
I used the soon to be released Memaw’s Roses Stencil and placed it over some white cardstock. I used two different Ergonomic Blending Brushes for my card – one for each color of ink. I actually have six of them! One for each color family. I’m a lazy crafter and I don’t like to clean my brushes – sshhh! Don’t tell anyone! Having one for each color family makes it so that I don’t have to worry about cleaning my brushes to not contaminate ink.
I used a pink ink for the flowers portion of the Memaw’s Roses Stencil and a green ink for the leaves. I used the Ergonomic Blending Brushes. The brushes are large, but I didn’t have any trouble using just the edge of the brush to get ink where I wanted it. And any ink that went where I didn’t want it to just looks like a halo! Perfect! I added some flicks of black watercolor to the background for texture and because I knew I would be using a black sentiment and I wanted to tie the whole card together.
I know I’ve said it before, but I’m always running out of birthday card! That’s probably my most requested type of card when my family and friends ask if they can look through my stash of card. I die cut the Happy Birthday Dies four times from black cardstock and stacked them together for dimension and added them to my card. To make the sentiment stand out even more I added a coat of Glossy Accents.
I finished off the card with a few black enamel dots here and there! Simple and elegant and perfect! I hope you are inspired!
