Good afternoon, friends and welcome back! I hope everyone is well and remaining sane! Today, I stepped out of my comfort zone and made a slimline card! These usually intimidate me a bit because of their size and the amount of space to fill. But seeing so many of these cute cards on the internet, I was inspired to create one!
The size of this card is 8.5 X 3.5 inches. So, trim your cardstock to 8.5 X 7 and score at 3.5!
I ink blended the front of the card using the Clouds Stencil, the Ergonomic Blending Brush and a light blue ink. For the “hills”, I used the Scallop Waves Dies to give a nice rolling look and used the Brush and a light green ink.
I absolutely love the Daisy Bug Stamp Set and co-ordinating dies and thought they would be perfect to dress up my little scene. I stamped almost every image from the set and used alcohol markers to add the colour.
I adhered both hills with liquid glue and added all the elements with a combination of glue and foam adhesive.
I did add some sparkle details to the dragonfly wings and some white gel pen details but refrained from Nuvo Crystal Glaze and sequins! And in true fashion, I didn’t factor in the sentiment. So, I’m not really happy with the placement of that but that’s ok! I love how the card turned out!
