Mother’s Day Shaker Card

Hi! The Gorgeous Vases stamp set from Pink & Main is great for so many occasions! I decided to get a jump on Mother’s Day and create a fun shaker card!

I love stamping my own backgrounds, and the new line of Plaid stamps make it so easy! There are three large 6×6 Plaid stamps and you can use one, two, or all three of them to build a background! I used a gray ink and stamped the Plaid 2 and Plaid 3 stamps onto a card base to create my background. I stamped out a few images from the Gorgeous Vases stamp set and colored the flowers with alcohol markers and die cut them with the coordinating Gorgeous Vases dies.

I die cut the largest of the Reverse Scallop Rectangle dies from some white cardstock. I adhered acetate to the back of the frame and then created a “well” with foam tape around the outside of the Reverse Scallop Rectangle frame. I filled up the “well” with a sequin mix and added it on top of my stamped background.

I adhered my images from the Gorgeous Vases stamp set onto the front of the shaker. I stamped the sentiment from the Spring Sentiments stamp set and die cut it with a die from the Sentiment Strip die set and added that over the center of the vase with foam tape.
