Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here, and I have a card for you that has been made for someone who is moving from Japan to the Gold Coast in Australia. What a fabulous sunny place to move to!
I used paper from the Summer Splash Pad, because even though we’re coming into winter here, things are getting warmer in Australia, and this paper was perfect for the warm beach vibe I wanted. I cut this paper with the Sunny Cover dies, and used the pieces only, reserving the outside frame for another card.
I then stamped and coloured some fun images from the Travel Buddy stamp set, using Copic markers. I cut these images out using the matching dies. The sentiment comes from the same stamp set, and I just cut the fishtail by hand using pointy scissors.
Everything on this card is popped up with layers of foam tape – I’m a big fan of dimension on cards. I love the sunset look of this card, and I could have easily added a few cocktails instead of a suitcase if the card was for a different occasion.
It’s always hard to say goodbye to good friends, but it’s comforting to know that they’re happy to be on a new adventure!
