Hello, friends!! Welcome back! Laurie here to share a way to get another use from your dies. The latest release included a fabulous set of dies called Bold Snowflake Dies which is absolutely perfect for this technique!
All you need on hand is craft foam/fun foam. Simply, die cut from the foam and you’ve made yourself some stamps!
These are large, bold images that stamp like a dream…better than actual stamps!! I used tape runner adhesive to attach the foam “stamps” to an acrylic block. This works great!
I generously applied Versamark Ink to the largest snowflake. The foam will absorb a bit of the ink so you need to add quite a bit, until you see a sheen. I stamped down onto a piece of white cardstock cut from the largest of the Stitched Rectangles Set 2 dies.
I used Metallic Silver Sparkle Embossing Powder from WOW. You can see the perfect image you get!
I decided to use only the largest snowflake on this card but I can’t wait to use the other ones! These “stamps” can be used repeatedly. Just be careful when removing them from the block as they can tear.
From the stamped panel, I die cut Happy Holidays from the Bold Holidays Dies right over the stamped snowflake. Time for some inlaid die cutting! I also die cut the sentiment from craft foam as well, to give it some great dimension.
I decided to mat the focal panel with a light grey cardstock. It was just a matter of putting all the pieces together to create this CAS holiday card! NOTE: make sure to keep all the inner bits of the letters!
This card was super difficult to photograph. The embossing is SO shiny! Trust me, in real life it’s quite beautiful!
I added some droplets by using Silver Stickles as the adhesive. It tied it beautifully with the silver embossing. I added everything to a white, top fold card base.
And that, my friends, is a very easy way to get more use out of your dies!!
Thank you for dropping in this morning! Have a great day!
Laurie
I am going to do that. THANKS
Using dies to make stamps I had seen before, but holy guacamole, I have never seen anyone use Stickles to attach clear drops and the results are just mind blowing!!!! Can’t wait to try!!! TFS!
