Pink and Main Happy Hanukkah Dies

Hey peeps. It’s Dana here with you today. I’m still busy as ever working on my holiday cards. So for today’s card I’m using the Happy Hanukkah Dies from the October 2019 release. Let’s get started

For my card, I knew right away I wanted to keep my card clean and simple. First I die cut out the Happy Hanukkah sentiment from the dies in silver mirror card stock. Then I cut it out again from navy craft foam. I used a thicker foam for today’s card to give the sentiment a very thick base. I adhered the silver card stock onto the craft foam using liquid glue. Once it was in place, I decided to go over the words with glossy accents to really make them shine. I had to set this a side for at least an hour to dry to make sure I didn’t get any smudging when I needed to place it on my card front.

While I waited for the words to dry I worked on my background. I trimmed down a piece of navy card stock to be slightly smaller than an A2 card. I stamped a sentiment from the Happy Hanukkah stamp set along with some stars in Versamark ink and then heat embossed it with arctic white embossing powder.

Once the letters were dried I added liquid glue to the back of them and set them into place on my navy card panel. I absolutely LOVE how these words came out and will be using this technique again soon. I filled in around the sentiment with two small glossy dots and this card was complete.

Here is a closeup of the card. You can really see the glossiness of the words here. I really wish I could capture it completely because it truly is fabulous. Thanks for stopping by today. I’ll see you back here soon with more holiday inspiration.
