The April 2020 Crafty Courtyard Kit from Pink & Main is my FAVORITE! I absolutely LOVE the realistic bees! And you know what? There are still a few kits available in the shop! When I made my video I thought this kit was sold out, but I just checked and there are still a few left, so be sure to head over and snag one! The Crafty Courtyard Kits are limited edition and once they’re gone they are not restocked.
Want to become a subscriber so you don’t ever miss a kit? Head here for all the details! And then be sure to check out the Crafty Courtyard Past Boxes and Extras tab in the Pink & Main shop. I check it frequently. Occasionally there are extra papers, enamel shapes, embellishments, etc. left from the kits and the lovelies at Pink & Main put them up for purchase! It’s like getting a treat when I can buy extra things!
I made 5 cards with the BEE Kind Card Kit. I love that they all clearly look like they came from the same collection of “ingredients” – the colors and theme are the same – but they all have their own unique twist! That’s why I love the Crafty Courtyard kits! Everything coordinates! This kit has papers, enamel shapes, ribbon, sequins, a stencil, a stamp set AND MORE that were all made to work together. The color theme is the same which means that the embellishments perfectly match the papers. It’s seriously so yummy!
Let’s start with this first card! I stamped a simple background using the hexagon images from the BEE Kind Stamp Set in the kit. I used yellow ink for the solid images and black for the outline to bring together the color scheme of a bee. I colored and cut out a floral image and a bee from the stamp set and added them with foam tape. I stamped sentiment onto a piece of ink blended yellow cardstock and added a frame from the BEE Kind patterned papers and a Reverse Scallop Square Die. And of course some enamel shapes around the sentiment!
This card was inspired by one of the patterned papers in the kit. I used the BEE Kind stencil from the kit along with some gray ink to create a simple background and die cut it with a Stitched Circle Die. I colored and cut out two floral images and the large bee from the BEE Kind stamp set and arranged them on top of my stenciling. My background is a piece of colorful patterned paper and a white Reverse Scallop Rectangle Die. I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set with black ink at the bottom to finish off the card.
This card just may be my favorite! I love the black and white with a pop of color – it’s one of my favorite color combos! I started by using the Mask It Circle Stencil to trace a circle directly in the middle of my card. Then I stamped both the large and the small bee from the BEE Kind Kit repeatedly around my background until it was filled with the buzzing bees! I added a stamped sentiment in the middle with black ink and a scattering of the enamel shapes in the kit!
I can’t lie … this one is one of my favorites, too! I used the BEE Kind Stencil and added green ink blending to my background. The floral images are actually chipboard stickers from the kit. No need for coloring! Hooray! I love that the sentiments in the BEE Kind Kit are all separate, so you can mix and match what you want your card to say. I stair stepped a sentiment to fill the center of my card and added a few stamped and colored bees here and there.
This last card is probably the simplest to make – but look at those patterns and colors! I used a gray hexagon patterned paper from the BEE Kind paper pack for my background and a leftover strip of colorful hexagon paper from a previous card. Trust me I’m not wasting these papers! They’re gorgeous! (hint hint – I bought some extra paper pads and you should, too!) I edged the patterned paper with skinny strips of yellow cardstock from the kit and popped up some stamped and colored bees from the BEE Kind stamp set. I stamped a sentiment and completed the card with some enamel shapes.
Here’s a last look at all 5 cards from the BEE Kind Crafty Courtyard card kit. Remember that this kit is limited quantity – but there ARE still some available as I type! Run and grab yours! And if you’re not a subscriber you definitely should be! You don’t want to miss a kit! Thanks and see you soon!
