You Color My World…

Good morning, friends and welcome back! Today, I made a card using some of the FABULOUS new release stamps and dies!!  This release is geared toward creativity and craftiness, whether it be stamping, painting, sewing or even quilting!!  I am in love!!

I made a 4.25 X 4.25 inch square card today using the brand new Quilt Square 1 Die for the background.

This die is actually slightly bigger than shown. I trimmed a bit off all 4 sides to make it fit on the card base.  This die cuts the most beautiful pattern and I am blown away at how the design team has used this!  There is so many possibilities!!  I used a variety of bright Distress Ink colours for my quilt pieces today and the inlay die cut technique.  After die cutting, I adhered the frame portion the a scrap piece of cardstock that was covered in tape adhesive. Then all you have to do is pop the pieces into place!!  After everything was put together, I trimmed the excess scrap cardstock with scissors.

I coloured up a couple of the cute images from the new Sewing Stamp Set and used the co-ordinating dies to cut them out.  I am in love with the safety pin and scissors, omg so cute!!!  The sentiment is from the same set and was white heat embossed onto a strip of white cardstock. I blended the same pink Distress Ink colour onto it for the emboss resist technique!

The sentiment, images and the entire quilt background were adhered using foam adhesive.  A bit of shimmer was added to the scissors, button and safety pin as well as a dose of Glossy Accents.

For a bit of added shine, I used three of the green Glossy Dots from the Rainbow Glossy Dots Pack. And that’s my finished card for today!!

Thank you so much for dropping by this morning! I hope you’ve found something to inspire you!

Until next time…

Laurie
