You Color My World Happy

Hey lovelies, Tracy here with you today sharing a card I created with some products from the new release.

If you haven’t checked out the new release yet then you can find it here.

This release had a crafty theme to it and so many fun products, one that caught my eye straight away was the Quilt Square 1 Die which is a beautiful patchwork style die.

My original plan was to go for lots of autumnal colours, or even holiday colours but then I saw the sentiment from the new Craft Stamp Set I knew what I wanted to do.

Who doesn’t love a rainbow ? I used Alcohol markers to color this and die cut the die twice from some Neenah cardstock.

The colours didn’t blend perfectly due to the difference in colours and I could have used inks for a smoother blend but I wanted to show you can create something like with markers.

I used an Xyron Creative station to apply adhesive to the back and kept the die as a whole whilst I coloured it, I only removed the “frame” when all the pieces were in place.

I was tempted to continue the pattern over the whole card front and then add the sentiment to a strip of a card, but I am glad I went with this idea too. Plus if you want you can then keep the frame for another project.

I love the possibilities with this die and love the size of it too.

I kept the sentiment simple and stamped it in black for contrast, but I think it would look nice heat embossed or maybe a totally different colour.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have a great day.
