Wonderland

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today to share a card I created using Pink and Main’s stamp set named, Wonderland. This is such a fun set to play with.

Last time I featured a card using this set, I focused on all the characters. This time, however, I’m just focusing on the Queen and her minions, the soldiers. This set allows you to totally play with the soldiers to customize as you see fit. I envisioned them lined up carving up a path for the Queen. However, to be able to do this, I had to do a bunch of masking and reverse stamping. In the end, it was totally worth it.

For reverse masking, I actually just stamped on a piece of acetate and kissed it to my card panel. Although the impression isn’t perfect, it works well enough that I can take a copic friendly pen to draw in the image. I have started to outline my images after coloring because I think it looks better as an end result. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t always do this, but when I do I really like how it looks.

Since I created masks for the little soldiers to line them up behind each other, I used them to color in the background with distress inks. I colored in the rest and the scene really comes together.

I’ve had this set for awhile now and it’s about time I use it. I hope you get inspired to create!

Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!
