Watercolour Carousel

Good morning friends!!! Laurie here to share a card using the brand new Sweet Carousel Stamp Set and co-ordinating dies!! I hope you’ve had a chance to check out this month’s amazing new release!! Not only are the stamps and dies fabulous, but can we talk about the new acrylic blocks?! These have quickly become my go to blocks. Not only are they pink, but they are the perfect size and so comfortable to use!!

Let’s get onto the card, shall we? I started by stamping one of the images from the Sweet Carousel stamp set with Versamark Ink and embossed it with gold embossing powder. I did some very simple watercolour with some inexpensive paints. I then did a wash of pink around it.

After trimming that panel down with a rectangle die from the Stitched Rectangles Set 2 dies, my plan changed. I was originally going to leave it as it was but decided to use the co-ordinating die to cut that sweet unicorn out.

Still, without a clear plan on what I was creating, I cut the Eyelet Cover Die from some ivory cardstock. I hadn’t used this die for awhile and forgot how beautiful it is!! After looking at all the pieces I had amassed, the vision of the card finally came to me.

I adhered the Eyelet panel onto an ivory card base and foam mounted the watercolour panel on top. I used liquid adhesive to adhere the unicorn inside. This created an interesting look!

I should mention that I heat embossed the sentiment before I adhered the panel to the card!! To finish the card off, I use a few of the brand new Gold Glossy Dots…these things are amazing, I highly recommend 🙂

Thank you so much for stopping by this morning!! I hope you found some inspiration!!

Until next time…

Laurie
