Using Small Stamps to Make a Background

Hello everyone! It’s Ashley here and today I am sharing a really colorful birthday card using the Party Balloons stamp set. Whenever I see small stamp in a set I like to take them all and create a fun background. The confetti and the streamers in this set are perfect for that!

I stamped the streamers and confetti all over a piece of white cardstock with embossing ink. I embossed them with a clear embossing powder. Next I did some ink blending over the top of the stamping. The embossing resists the ink leaving me with a fun background.

I sprinkled some water droplets onto the background to create some texture. Then I stamped and embossed a sentiment onto some vellum. The sentiment is from the March Crafty Courtyard kit. If you aren’t subscribe to the Pink and Main kit I recommend checking it out!

I adhered the sentiment to the background and then glued the background to an A2 size card base.

To finish up the card I first added some clear sequins. Next I added a few dots of Glossy Accents and sprinkled some glitter onto them.

Thanks for stopping by!
Ashley
