Turquoise Butterfly

Hello.  Are you excited to see a few more SNEEK Peeks of the Latest NEW Release?  I have a sneeky peek of a new cover die that will be added to the shop very soon!  This cover die is just a lovely way to add a detailed background that can also showcase other images.   Monotone cards are also a great way to make many at a time and to do several cards of the same design, though using different colors.  This is a great card to do in multiples.

For this tone on tone card I simply sponged the Surface Ink Skyscraper on a 4.25 x 5.5 piece of card stock until covered.  I die cut the NEW Release cover die and adhered it to my A2 size card base.  Once the die was cut, I set aside some of the negative “droplet” shapes.  The butterfly image was stamped and die cut using the the Sky Scraper ink.  With a turquoise water marker the butterfly image was outlined, and the antenae were outlined with a black fine tip pen.  The butterfly was affixed with double sided foam tape to the center of the card.  The “droplet” negative pieces were glued to the center of the image under an embossed sentiment embossed in white onto black cardstock and adhered wtih liquid glue.
