Sweet Bouquets That Shake Things Up

Hey everyone. It’s Dana here with you today. I love making cute jar shaker cards. If you’ve missed my one I posted a few weeks ago you can check it out here. So with that being said, I worked up a shaker card for the Sweet Bouquets stamps and dies.

I started off by stamping out my sweet bouquet on watercolor paper and die cut it out with the coordinating dies. I pulled out my zig markers and did some simple watercoloring. Once I had everything nicely colored I moved onto the jar. I stamped out one jar from the Pretty Jars stamp set twice and die cut one out with the coordinating die cut. I then took a crafting knife and cut the center out of one jar to create my opening for the shaker bits. I added acetate to the back of the jar, filled the jar up with sequins, added thin pieces of double sided foam tape around the jar and closed it up with the other die cut jar. Then a cut a slit in the top of the jar and inserted my flowers. I added double sided foam tape to the flowers to keep the height of the jar and flowers the same.

Next I used some glue and adhered this piece to some designer paper from the Spring Flings 6×6 paper pad. All that was left was to add this panel to a white card base. For some sparkle I pulled out my Birthday Girl glossy dots and added a few to the panel. Lastly I stamped out a sentiment on matching paper and die cut it out the a banner from the Sweet Bouquet dies.

Here is a closeup of the card. If you don’t have time to make a shaker card, you could easily just color the bouquet and just a a ribbon to the stem. It would still make a stunning card.

Thanks for stopping by today. Another design team member will be back with more inspiration. Have a great day everyone.
