Summer chill

Hello Everyone,

It is Zsofi here again with you with a fun summer scene card. We are experiencing a real heat wave in many places this summer, so I thought a bit of water and ice cream may help all of us to chill a bit. For today’s card I used The Sending Waves and The scoop stamp and die sets.

After stamping and colouring the images with Copic markers, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I added a lot of sparkle with a Tonic Aqua Shimmer pen, made the eyes of the kids shine with a black glaze pen and emphasized some details with glossy accents.

Until they were drying I made the beach scene using distress inks and masking tape. I added some brown splatters to the sand to look more realistic by simply flicking the diluted distress ink from a acrylic block with a paint brush.

I also white heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of black cardstock and assembled the card on a kraft card base.

To make the girl with the funky sunglasses look like she is in water I cut a slit on the water using a little scallop border die. I adhered the images flat and popped the sentiment with 3D foam squares. As a finishing touch I added some waves with the help of a stencil and a Sakura clear glitter pen.

I hope you like this cheerful summer card and got inspired. Until next time, happy crafting!

Zsofi
