Starfish Wishes For My Friend

Hey everyone. It’s Dana here with you today. Who doesn’t love a cute mermaid and starfish?🤔 Ummmm no one I can think of. Today’s card is made with the cutest of them both. I’m sharing the Starfish Wishes stamp set and coordinating dies. I also used the Reverse Scallop Circle die and the new The Shore 6×6 paper pad.

For my card I kept the focus on the sweet images. I colored the mermaid and starfish with Copic markers and then die cut them out with the coordinating dies. I set them aside as I worked on the background for my card.

I pulled out The Shore 6×6 paper pad and die cut out a circle using the reverse scallop die into one of the woodgrain sheets. ( I love this woodgrain). I die cut out another circle in white paper so I could have a little window for my images to sit in. Assembling the card was really simple. First I glued a piece of paper that looks like water behind the circle I made in the woodgrain paper. I glued the white reverse scallop down leaving a little opening so I could tuck my images into the “window” I created. I then stamped the sentiment in place off set from the mermaid. I added a few glossy dots to match the colors of my mermaid and a few as “nail heads” to the corners of the woodgrain piece.

All that was left was to add this to a white card base. By the way, this is a 5×5 square card. I wanted to keep the feel of the card on a larger scale. For a little bit of sparkle, I added some Wink of Stella to both images. I mean if you’re going to be a fabulous mermaid and starfish you have to sparkle.

I would LOVE to see what you make with this stamp set. Make sure to post what you create in the Pink and Main Facebook page. We love seeing what you make. Thanks for stopping by today and I’ll see you back here soon!
