Smile, It Looks Good on You!!

Hello, hello!! Welcome back! Laurie here to share a bright, shiny and happy card with you today!  My Christmas cards are done so it’s time to dig out some other fun stamps to create with!

I chose the Thinking of You Always Stamp Set for my project today.  This is one of my all time favourite P&M sets! I heat embossed the large floral image with Metallic Brass embossing powder from WOW!.  This is a gorgeous powder.  To colour the flowers, I used my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Pens. I haven’t used them in quite awhile, so this was fun!

I chose oranges, pinks and a turquoise and love the colour combo!  I decided to fussy cut each floral bunch and use them in a slightly different way.

I used the gorgeous Smile Die for the focal image on my card. I wanted to use the same embossing powder as the florals so I smooshed Versamark Ink onto white cardstock and poured the Brass powder over top.  This created a large, shiny piece of cardstock to die cut the Smile from.

I wanted to use a kraft card base but after laying my elements out, I found it was a little bland.  To remedy this I used the small polka dot stamp from the Thinking of You Always set and stamped it repeatedly onto the card base using Versamark ink.  This created a subtle, watermark effect which was just what the card needed.

It was time to put everything together! I trimmed the card base down to 5 X 3.5 inches and used foam adhesive to adhere the floral images to each side.

I adhered the embossed smile to the outline portion of the die and also popped that up.  To finish, I stamped a co-ordinating sentiment from the Smile Stamp Set.  I did some ombre stamping with two shades of brown ink.

This card is super cheerful and would be great to brighten someones day!!

I hope you enjoyed my project for today, it was super fun to make!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!! See you soon!

Laurie
