Sketched Easter

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with Pink and Main’s new release with the amazing stamp set named, Sketched Easter. It’s one of the cutest sets I’ve seen mainly because I just love these critters. I hope you’ve been enjoying all the new items and get inspired to create.

For my project today, I was playing around with either using most of the images or focus on one. I wanted to utilize dies to create windows for my card and I zoned in on the Stitched Top Note dies. When I chose the size I wanted, I decided to make two cards out of it using the positive and negative of the die.

For my first card, I stamped the images on an A2 panel of white cardstock and for the second, I stamped the images on the die cut from the Stitched Top Note.

I masked the images on both, and used distress inks to create grass and a sky.

I decided to color the first card in more of a pastel color scheme. Once I finished coloring this scene, I placed the die cut negative over the scene and I matted it on kraft cardstock. For the sentiment, I used the “Happy Easter” from the stamp set and stamped it on a strip of kraft to the bottom of the card.

The second card, I colored the images in bright colors. For the two images that are cut off on the die cut, I stamped and glued them so they looked was complete. To finish off this card, I used the banner from the stamp set and paired it with “Best Wishes” from the Sweet Bouquet set.

I’m loving how both of these turned out and am happy I got two cards from it.
