Sketch Out Your Easter Cards

Hey everyone. It’s Dana with you today. I’m sharing a quick easter card using the Sketched Easter stamps and coordinating Sketched Easter dies. This is such an adorable stamp set and I love the sweetness of the sketched lines.

When I say this stamp set I immediately knew I wanted to watercolor the images. The sketched lines really leans itself to simple watercoloring. I used my Zig markers and a small paint brush to color.

Once I had the images colored, I made a cute little scene for my lamb, bird and flower. I didn’t want to overpower the images with too many additional items on my card. I made some grass with distress inks and a Copic markers and stenciled on some clouds. I first stenciled distress broken china ink with a cloud stencil and then went back in with white gouache to add in the fluffiness of the clouds.

I finished my card off by stamping the sentiment and popping up my images with foam dots. This is such an easy card to recreate. If you don’t have time to watercolor the images, pull out your color pencils or Copic markers. Either medium will also work perfectly as well. Can’t make a scene? Grab some pretty designer paper from Pink and Main and use that for your card base.

Here’s a close-up of my card. Aren’t these images so sweet? You can swing by the Pink and Main shop and grab your stamps and dies today. I’ll see you back here soon! Have a great day.
