Sewing Birthday Card

Hi there!  It’s Andrea here sharing a fun and feminine birthday card featuring the new Sewing stamp set.  I love the retro vibe of this set and decided to go all girly today with lots of pink (my favorite color)!

I started off by stamping a bunch of images from Sewing with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I colored the images with Copics and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

This card came together so quickly thanks to that fabulous background!  I die-cut white cardstock with the Eyelet Cover Die, backed it with pink cardstock, and adhered the panel to a white card.  With the Stitched Circle Dies, I die-cut a vellum circle and arranged my colored images on top.  I popped up some of the images with one or two layers of foam tape for variety and depth.  I adhered the circle to my card, applying glue to the portions hidden by the images.

I white heat-embossed a sentiment from Sewing onto a strip of black cardstock, which I adhered with foam tape to my card.  I glued some pink sequins around the circle (The ones at the top also hide glue used to keep the circle in place).  I added a few highlights to the images with a white gel pen and brushed on some clear sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by!
