Sew Sweet

Hello, friends!  It’s Andrea with my last post as a designer for Pink & Main.  Being on this team has been a dream come true, and thank you, Michelle, for helping me realize that dream!  This card is in honor of how sweet Michelle and the whole team are.

I started this card by first creating the background (complete opposite of how I normally work).  I die-cut the Quilt Square 1 Die from pink cardstock and several papers from the Beach Babe paper pad.  I created a 4 1/4″ square cardbase from white cardstock, adhered the pink quilt outline, and inlaid the various patterned pieces.  I just love how the background turned out!  I saved the other die-cut pieces, so now I can make about four more cards when time permits.

That adorable sewing machine is from the Sewing stamp set.  I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored it with Copics, and cut it out with the coordinating dies.  I adhered my image with foam tape to a vellum circle die-cut with the Stitched Circle Dies.  I stamped a sentiment from the Sewing set onto white cardstock, trimmed it into a banner, and glued it to the circle.

After coiling and gluing some baker’s twine to my card, I attached the vellum circle with dimensional adhesive.  For a little bling, I brushed some clear sparkle onto the sewing machine and added a scattering of sequins.

Thank you for allowing me to (hopefully) inspire you these past six months.  It has been an honor and a joy.  Best wishes to Michelle and the rest of the Pink & Main team!
