Rainbow Butterflies

Hello everybody!

Donna here. The weather continues wet and cold here in Australia, even hailing heavily last night. BUT… the countdown until we move to Japan is moving rapidly, and I’ll be back in the sunshine in just 2 weeks’ time.

I have been playing around with the Pink and Main surface inks, learning what they can do, and one thing they do absolutely beautifully is blend! I haven’t used any special paper, and yet the blend between colours was seamless. I love this, as I’m not a very patient ink blender. There are four different inks blended in the picture below, and all the transitions were so easy.

The clean bright colours of these inks made for a lovely light, bright coarse when paired with the beautiful new Butterfly Background stamp. I stamped this in clear ink, and embossed it in white.  I used Rose Garden, Construction, Street light, The park and Riverwalk inks to blend a rainbow over the top.I also fussy cut another butterfly and stuck just just the centre of the butterfly to the page.

The sentiment is from the ‘You Can Fly’ stamp set, and I embossed it in white, and black paper.

This was a simple card to make, and one that could easily be made into a set of cards for a gift. I hope that you have enjoyed looking at how these inks work, and are inspired to blend with them yourselves!

Until next time,

Happy crafting!

Donna
