Perfect Cover Plate for Fall Cards

Hello Everyone and welcome to another day of Pink & Main August release preview!

Cover Plate for Clean and Simple Card

Ksenija is here today and I will share my first project with the new supplies coming to the shop on August 20th. Mark this day in your calendars!

This new release will be full of cosy seasonal images and includes several very handy dies.

To make my card I used two products from the new release – Seasons of Change stamps and co-ordinating steel dies and Basket Cover Die.

I die cut a bear bearing a pumpkin and three branches with acorns and stamped the images in alcohol friendly black ink. Then I coloured all the images with Copics.

I find this bear image to be one of the cosiest on the market for this season. Look at its expression, so darling! I really love adorable details Michelle is adding to critters. Have you noticed tiny hearts on its paws and patches on its elbows?

To create an easy background for my card I blended several shades of Distress ink onto a card panel and die cut a dimensional background using Basket Cover Die. Following die cutting I distressed it slightly with the dark shade of ink.

For my sentiment I used a phrase from the same set of stamps Seasons of Change and heat embossed it in fine white powder down onto a red card stock stripe.

To assemble my card I glued the Basket die cut with micro dots to a white card note, and the sentiment banner on top of it.

The bear and three acorns are popped up with a foam tape for extra dimension.

To finish off my card I used a glitter glue on the acorns and the pumpkin.

Basket Cover Die helped me to complete my card quickly and add dimensional detail just in a moment. To make this background you do not need to blend inks perfectly, openings will hide any imperfections.

Thank you so much for stopping by and do not forget to pop in later for more sneak peeks from my teammates.

Have a great day!
