I love that there are different kinds of balloons in this stamp set. You could definitely use them without the second layer, but I love the added patterns! I kept these cards one layer and simple and easy to recreate. You could whip up a few of these so quickly! And I tried to keep the colors neutral so that when I need a birthday card I can just grab one!

I chose to do tone on tone layering for all of these cards, but you could mix it up and use different colors for the layering or even embossing powders for a wow factor! I stamped the balloons with dye inks and made sure they overlapped so that the colors showed through each other just like it would if they were real balloons.

I stamped the balloon strings and sentiments with black ink. I mixed it up with the strings and sentiments so that each card would be just a little different even though it follows the same layout.

As I was finishing up I thought that the backgrounds needed a little something – so I used the confetti stamp in the Party Balloons stamp set and a light gray ink to fill in the background a little bit.
I hope these cards inspire you to create a clean and simple card set! See you soon!
