Pansy love – Layering Dies

Hello Pink and Main friends,

It’s lovely to be here sharing a sneak peek of the upcoming release for Pink and Main. It’s especially happy news, as it was a little touch and go as to whether the exciting package would reach me all the way over in Japan in time – but it did – with a day to spare!

Here’s what I created to share with you. These pansies are brilliant! All the pieces are there to create vibrant realistic blooms.

Because this die makes such lovely large pansies (one bloom would make a wonderful focal point for a card) , but because I also really wanted to share several colourways, I made a long card – 9″ by 3 3/4″ to share with you today.

Here’s a close up of one of the completed flowers. I have blended just a little ink onto the edges of each petal to give the pansy some depth and dimension, and more interest in the petals.

The pieces have a little overlap, so they can be glued directly to your project, but I found it easiest to glue my pieces to a little piece of scrap paper, as shown in the photo below. That way I could also pop the whole bloom up on foam tape for some added dimension to the card.

The sentiment comes from another of the new release sets that has some wonderful rainbows and clouds. I can’t wait to use the whole set.

I’m confident that this new release is going to be a winner- there are so many wonderful dies and stamps. I’m itching to get going with some colouring, as there are some adorable images.

Until next time,

May your days be full of flowers.

Blessings,

Donna

I love the Pansies!!! I think that it will be a winner, too! Nice colors you chose. I have some pansies in those colors.
