I Heart Pretty Jars

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with Pink and Main’s new release focusing on one of the larger stamp sets named, Pretty Jars. I have a project to share with you today using the new release!

I had previously used the shorter jar in another card so I wanted to use the taller jar here today along with the little hearts in this set.

I played with a lot of masking for this card but I’m think it was totally worth it. First I stamped the jar top first since I want that to be up front, then I stamped out the actual jar. For the inside of the jar, I wanted to fill it up with the two different sizes of hearts. I definitely had to mask these off but I only needed to create two each and was able to alternate the masking. Additionally, I added a few hearts outside the jar.

I wanted an easy background, so I masked off the entire jar and added color around it. I didn’t want it to look valentine’s related so I chose colors outside of red and pink going with blue and orange instead. I definitely wanted to use two colors to have the jar look like it’s sitting on a table.

Because I ended up with a lot of white space on the top left of this card, I wanted to fill it up with a large sentiment. I pulled out the Congrats die using both pieces, the outline and the words. I die cut the outline using vellum and the words in a blue cardstock.

I hope you’ve been enjoying all the new items and get inspired to create. Thanks for stopping by! Come back again soon for some more inspiration and ideas!
