Heat Embossed Christmas Cards | Snow Sweet

Hello Everybody!

It’s Ksenija here and I am featuring the Snow Sweet stamps and co-ordinating dies set and demonstrating three ways to use heat embossing technique for Clean and Simple Christmas cards.

Heat embossing is a popular technique to add lovely details to any Clean and Simple card. Christmas cards decorated with heat embossing become more festive.

To make my today’s cards I used heat embossing for resist effect, adding dimension and stamping in white on a black card stock.

I started with heat embossing snowflakes from the Snow Sweet stamps set in white down onto a white card stock panel and then covering the panel with a mask with a round opening. To reveal the white snowflakes and to create a background for snowmen images I blended two shades of dye inks within the round opening.

Having removed the mask I stamped down the snowflakes in one of the ink shades which I used for blending.

Both snowmen images are die cut, stamped in alcohol marker friendly ink and coloured with markers.

To add dimensional embellishment to my cards I made dots on the ink blended backgrounds and snowmen images with embossing ink pen and sprinkled everything with a puffing powder.

When it comes to sentiments I pick sets with punny phrases. The Snow Sweet set contains sentiment building words which you can combine in many phrases with a word Snow. I made two different phrases  for my cards. Both sentiments are heat embossed in fine white powder down to black card stock stripes.

To assemble my cards I glued the panels down onto a soft grey card notes and foam mounted the snowmen and the sentiments.

Are you feeling inspired to make jolly Christmas cards with the Snow Sweet stamps set decorated with heat embossing?

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
