Happy Bee Day!

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with Pink and Main’s new release with the amazing stamp set named, Bee Day. I’ve used it previously but wanted to use it again because it’s such a great set. I know that the focus has been on the large bees but today, I’m focusing on the hive and the smaller bees.

Additionally, one of the die sets that had been released is the Happy Birthday sentiment. I love how large this sentiment is and can be the main focus of a card. For today’s card, I used the green confetti patterned paper called It’s A Party paper pad to cut out the sentiments. To allow the patterned paper to stand out, I cut the shadow of the sentiment out of white cardstock.

I also wanted to include the pattern paper in another part of the card so I used the same patterned paper with the largest Cloudy Frames and matted it on yellow cardstock.

Since the sentiment takes the main focus, I stamped and cut out the hives ad smaller bees using the coordinating Bee Day dies. These images are perfect for the background of the card because they don’t take focus away from the sentiment.

To pull together this card, I trimmed down the yellow cardstock by a quarter of an inch so I could mat it on a white card base. An additional touch I added was Gold Glossy Dots around the card.

I love how Gold Glossy Dots come in different sizes. Against the yellow cardstock, it didn’t seem too contrasting and adds a subtle interest to the card.

Thanks for stopping by! Come back again soon for some more inspiration and ideas!
