Halloween Card Using Die Cuts!

Good day, my friends! So glad you’re here!  Laurie with you today to share a card with some stamping and inking but mostly die cutting..my fave!!

I thought it would be cute to use some of the Halloween themed dies from the new Fall Wreath Decor Dies Set.  These were made to co-ordinate with the awesome Wreath Base Dies but I wanted to show you that these little dies can stand on their own!

I die cut the cat, ghost, owl, bat, two of the pumpkins (one of which is a jack-o-lantern) and a few leaves.  I used Distress Inks to add the colour to each die cut.

They are SO cute!!  To create each “scene” I used one of the smaller Scallop Square Dies.  The backgrounds of each square were made by spraying each square with Distress Resist Spray then blending Distress Inks over top. The resist spray is super cool!! I then used liquid glue to adhere each of my die cuts to each square.

I added a few white gel pen details to some areas.  I foam mounted each square to a white panel that measures 5.5 X 3.5 inches which I drew a border around…sometimes I struggle with the white space :).  Before adhering that panel to the card base, I used one of the border stamps from the Pattern Maker Stamp Set (a must have, in my opinion) to again, break up some of the white space!

The sentiment actually comes from the Diggity Dog Stamp Set and was stamped on one of the washi images from the Fun Washi Mini Stamp Set! And to add a bit more shine, I added a few of the purple Rainbow Glossy Dots!!

I really like how this card turned out and I hope you do too!  Thank you so much for dropping by today!!

See you soon!!

Laurie
