Guest Designer: Ardyth

Hi everyone, it’s Ardyth here and I’m excited to be here as a Guest Designer this month! I made a sweet outside/inside card by creating a window, using some of the products from the new release.

I started with a top folding A2 card cut from white cardstock. I used the fishbowl die to cut a window in it and glued some acetate behind it. Then I used a sheet of patterned paper from the new The Shore paper pack to create a backing so that the edges of the acetate won’t be visible when the card is opened.

To create my water, I blended blue and aqua ink over the Mermaid Tails stencil on the inside of the back of the card. Later, I blended on more blue ink when I felt that I needed to make sure that the fish stood out on the pattern.

I stamped the fish and plants using Copic friendly ink and then coloured them with bright happy colours. I used simple shading techniques for my colouring.

I stamped the sentiment on the inside of the card, but it is also visible from the outside because of the window.

To finish, I added some sparkle to the fish and plants with glitter glue.

I hope you found some inspiration here! I’ll be back later in the month with more!
