Flurries of Warm Wishes!

Hello friends!! I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and was blessed with lots of crafty goodness! It’s hard to believe that all that hustle and bustle it’s all over!!

Today, I made a cute mini card with a winter theme. Just because Christmas is over, we have many months left of winter (here in Canada, at least 4 snow months!)

I used the cute hedgehog holding a steaming mug of, what I think, could only be hot chocolate. This comes from the fall themed set, Fall Friends. To make it more of wintery, I used the stamp set Flurries along with the co-ordinating dies.

I stamped some of the snowflakes from the Flurries set onto a white panel that was cut with one of the smaller Stitched Rounded Rectangle Dies with a light grey ink. I coloured the hedgehog’s clothes in pinks and purples and decided to stamp a couple more snowflakes in those colours.

I perched that sweet critter on top of a snowbank made with one of the Scallop Waves Dies. I foam mounted everything onto the snow background panel. For the card base, I decided to make it a bit of an unusual size. The finished size is 2.75 X 5.5 inches which fits the panel and sentiment perfectly!

For some added details, I added some Glossy Dots to the coloured snowflakes, Glossy Accents to the mug, white gel pen details scattered about and rounded the bottom corners of the card base to match the stamped panel.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope this card gave you some warmth!!

Have a safe, fun and happy New Year!! See you in 2019!!

Laurie
