Distress Oxide Ink Watercolour

Hello, crafty friends and welcome!! Laurie here to share a card using the new Pretty Jars Stamp Set and co-ordinating dies. It’s been quite some time since I’ve used my Distress Oxide Inks so I thought it would be fun to combine the large floral image from the stamp set with some easy Oxide watercolour!

I chose Worn Lipstick, Cracked Pistachio and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxides. I started by wetting down a panel of watercolour cardstock with clean water and added colour in 3 sections. I wanted them to blend a bit but not too much so I dried it partially between colours. To use up the left over ink on my craft sheet, I smooshed the panel down in each colour for that cool mottled effect. I also couldn’t resist adding some water droplets!!

I white heat embossed the floral image and used the same colours of ink. After using the co-ordinating die to cut it out, I added a ton of foam squares to the back. I cut the watercolored panel down with the second largest die from the Stitched Rectangles Set 2 dies and adhered the bouquet. The sentiment actually comes from the Sweet Bouquets Stamp Set along with that cute banner die! I white heat embossed it onto the same watercolour paper and added a bunch of the Worn Lipstick Oxide over top.

I decided to add another Stitched Rectangle to the card base before adhering the watercolored panel for a bit more detail!!

Thank you for stopping in!! I hope you enjoyed this very “Springy” floral card!!

Laurie
