Clean and simple butterflies.

Hey lovelies, Tracy here with you today sharing my latest Pink & Main card.

You might have guessed by now i am a sucker for clean and simple design and as soon as I saw the butterfly background stamp so many clean and simple designs popped into my head.

The one I am sharing with you today is a rainbow design that uses Surface inks, but works with most dye inks.

I found this is best created with a stamping tool and I always start with my lightest colour and work to darkest. The trick I have found is using a microfibre cloth to dab at the edge of the inked area to soften it.

I used the Hello die to die cut some gold card and I used the word bubble to cut some vellum.

I wanted to add a little bit of sparkle so I used Nuvo Sparkle Pen in clear to go over the butterflies….which is seriously hard to pick up on camera.

If you want a crisper stamped image then you can double stamp, If i recreated this card I would double stamp, but I am still really happy with how it turned out.

For the main panel I used the Stitched rounded rectangle die set, the second largest die to cut the stamped panel out, which I then popped up with some foam tape.

I was tempted to add some embellishments but honestly I am now glad I didn’t 🙂

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have a great day.

Happy crafting.

  1. Swooning over your butterfly-patterned background, Tracy! Lovely palette and I agree: no extras needed. Stunning exactly as it is!
