Card with Partially Coloured Images | BEE Day

This is a simple colouring technique anyone can apply easily.

Hello Everybody! It is Ksenija here today.

This technique is well known although not used too often.

Partial colouring draws viewer’s attention and makes certain details pop.

One can use this technique with big complicated images or several impressions of the smaller images.

For my today’s card I have combined two sets from Pink and Main March release – the BEE Day stamps and matching dies set, as well as the Party Balloons stamps.

How To Make This Card:

  • Trim a white card stock panel down to 4 1/4″ by 2 3/8″.
  • Stamp down a bee with a ballon image from the BEE Day set in black alcohol marker friendly ink.
  • Die cut and stamp an additional bee from a white card stock.
  • Colour some of the details keeping the colour palette very limited.
  • Stamp the sentiment from the Party Balloons set onto the card note.
  • Trim a black card stock panel down to 4 1/4″ by 2 5/8″ and glue it to the white stamped panel slightly shifted.
  • Adhere both panels down to the card note.
  • Pop the die cut bee image with a foam tape.

I thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment or a question to this post! Enjoy your afternoon!
