Bee Day Shadow Box and a Video

Hi everyone!

Ilina here!

Today I am sharing a card using the new Bee Day set along with the Clouds stencil and the Stitched Circles dies. Also, I have a video for you how to make this shadow box card, that was inspired by Jennifer McGuire’s tutorial from about a month ago.

To make the card I started by stamping the images from the Bee Day set on white alcohol marker friendly card stock using black ink (alcohol marker friendly), also I stamped the sentiment. Die cut them and colored them using alcohol markers. Set them aside.

To make the shadow card, I used 3 pieces of card stock: Light blue and White measuring 4 1/4″ x 6 1/4″ and Pool measuring 4 1/8″ x 4 1/8″.

You can watch the video below to see how this card came to be.

Score the White and Light blue pieces on each side at 1/2″ and 1″ (long side) and fold to make accordion fold or zig zag. Next die cut circle in the middle of the light blue piece and one size smaller one on the Pool piece.
Stencil the white piece using the Clouds Stencil and very light pool ink. Adhere the sentiment behind the window, then adhere the pool piece, so the sentiment will be sandwiched between.

Using acetate strip adhere the ballon bee between the front and back of the card. Adhere the front and back making sure the edges are lined up. Adhere the second bee and add some glossy dots and you are done.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope you are having a wonderful day!
