Beach Scene Card

Well, hello Pink&Main fans and welcome back! Today, I put together a beachy scene card featuring a couple fun images!

I started by colouring every image in the Happy Hour Stamp Set and actually planned on using every one of them. I had a totally different design in mind but after an initial layout, it just didn’t work. When I looked at this particular drink, I got a beach vibe. So, I went with it!

For the sunset background, I used Dusty Concord, Fired Brick, Wild Honey and Mustard Seed Distress Inks. I cut the panel down using the largest die from the Stitched Rectangles Set 2 Dies. I die cut another white panel with the same die but cut each end off using the Scallop Waves Dies. One piece will be the water, the other, the beach! I used Distress Inks on these pieces as well.

On the “sand” portion, I added some textured white embossing powder to give it that edge of the water look. I added the water and the sand to the ink blended panel and foam mounted the tropical drink and a pair of sunglasses.

The sunglasses come from the Travel Buddy Stamp Set. The images are scaled perfectly to work together! Some sparkle pen and a nice helping of Nuvo Crystal Glaze add some sparkle and shine!

I white heat embossed the sentiment and ended up adding a darker brown as it just didn’t stand out enough. I added the entire scene to a white, top fold cardbase.

I just love that sentiment. Words to live by 🙂

Thank you for stopping by!

Laurie
